How You Can Help

Education is the hand up and way out for these children.  It will end the vicious cycle of poverty that they are currently experiencing.

There are ten orphans at Wazazi Nursery School that need on-going assistance with school tuition.  Some of their pictures are shown here.

There are over seventy orphans at the main orphanage that depend on donations for their educational needs.

How you can help:

• Commit to educating one child.  Is there a child shown here that touches your heart?  Imagine how it would feel to know what a huge difference you are making in this child’s life.

  Primary education is only $25 per year.

  Secondary education is between $200 and $600 per year depending on the school. 

  Periodic updates on your child will be provided.

• Send a small donation.  Anything you can send will be appreciated.  We will pool all donations received to facilitate educating as many children as possible.

•  Help spread the word.  If you have been touched by these children and can’t afford to make a donation at this time then help us spread the word.

  • Send an email to everyone you know sharing our story and commitment.
  • Encourage a club or organization to sponsor a child.

  • Organize a fundraiser at your child’s school.

A note on donations:

• The I-to-I staff in Moshi monitors all donations very closely.

• All monies go directly to the school to assure that they will be used only for education.

• The child’s progress is monitored to assure that they are attending school on a regular basis.

• At this point in time, donations are not tax deductible.  This could change in time.  If this is an issue for you please contact me directly.
